Welcome to Trincomali. We hope you will enjoy your property, whether as a full-time resident, or perhaps as a weekend and summer retreat. An important element of your enjoyment is a secure water supply. At Trincomali Improvement District, we are committed to providing safe, high quality water services to our community, while maintaining a standard of excellence in water quality and environmental conservation.

The Cost of Your Water

Fees for 2025

Water Toll of $300 per year is levied on all properties connected to the water system and is used to cover rountine operating and maintenance costs. 

Parcel Tax of $100 per year is levied on all Properties and is used for capital costs and system improvements needed to keep the water flowing. 

New Connection fee $800

Reconnection fee $125  plus all unpaid taxes and tolls following a delequent toll/tax bill.

Improvement Districts must be self funding and do not qualify for goverment support.

Water System Flush

May 18, 2025

NOTICE: The water system will be flushed on Thursday, May 22, 2025. You may see some turbidity coming from your tap, but it should be minimal. As a safegard, chlorine will be added, but a boil water advisory is not anticipated. 

The chlorine will be added to the header tank that supplies the water to the system on Wednesday May 21. You may wish to set aside some unchlorinated water for use on Thursday morning to avoid having a chorine taste in your coffee or tea. 

Late morning Thursday May 22, the system will be flushed and the water pressure will drop dramatically. Some house holds may have no water for up to 2 hours.
